It's pretty nice to first check out the game at 11AM, and we're ahead 10-3.

20 freaking runs. 20.
The 3,4,5 hitters of the Red Sox were Ellsbury, Ross, Loney. I can relate. -That kinda reminds me of the past A's teams. Although we usually had a better starting pitcher than Aaron Cook.

Well that was pretty fun to say the least.
September's here, and the A's are relevant! Buckle up and let's do this! |

It's 'Bernie' day at the O.co. Terry Kiser threw out the first pitch. How can you not like this team?

I have to admit watching them eviscerate Boston is awesome. Maybe the Jays don't have to be last again. ![]() Melvin must be a lock for Manager of the Year.

As for Melvin, I hope he is a lock. I can see a case for Showalter and Ventura too but I think it has to be Melvin when you consider the expectations. |

Last night's game is the reason I love baseball and think it's the best sport. -I was only able to watch the first 3 innings. (Went to a dinner party.)
Anyway, in the 3rd inning, they had the actor who played Bernie in the play by play booth. He was like a 5 year old on Christmas morning. If you can get the A's TV broadcast of that inning it's literally worth it. I've never laughed so much at a game.... ever. You have an actor who literally hasn't worked in 20 years and everybody is treating him like royalty. In the 3rd inning, Inge* hits a 2 out double to score 2. As the camera is on him, Inge does the Bernie dance/shrug/face and the booth erupts. *Inge separated his shoulder in the last half inning, so this was his last at bat for the season. Inge knew it (the audience didn't) at the time and gutted out that AB. It even makes the game more memorable.

Inge is the man. He will forever be an Oakland A in my mind, even if it's just 74 games compared to over 1400 with Detroit. I don't think the A's are where they are now without him.

So I tune into the game on my lazy day and the A's are up 5-0. Almost feel sorry for the Red Sox at this point- almost.

Jeez, since Brandon McCarthy walked off the mound under his own power, I didn't think it was this bad. When you think of head injuries (or any injury for that matter), after 24 you can at best be called "stable" you were pretty gosh darn hurt.
Get well soon buddy.

What's the cure for being swept? Sweeping the next team you face.

Now I hope the A's can keep it up against LAAoA. I don't like them nipping at our heels.

This phrase is better. I hope you don't mind me editing it.

I have a few more grey hairs after tonight's game. Thank you Jerry Blevins.

Holy. ****. I went to bed after the 5th inning last night, and watched the rest this morning. If I wasn't awake before, I'm awake now. Holy. ****.
