Some advice please on fictional leagues
Ok I really do appreciate any help anybody can give on this.
Im going to just start the game as normal but theres a fictional set up I really want to create but after countless tries they never seem to be anywhere near what I want.. heres what im trying to achieve.. A Scandinavian league, teams from Iceland, faroes islands, denmark, sweden, norway and probably Greenland. I can get that bit right obviously and add all the teams and set up the rules and schdule that I want. Problem is this.. I want to make the league like a struggling league. Not the best kinda players and poor type finances. The attendances to be around say a couple of hundred people per game to keep it realistic, especially in Faroes with the population being below 50k! So any tips on how to achieve this? For the players having lesser stats and ability I guess selecting the league as 'international' would be right? 2 other things.. what is the maximum cash? does it need to be set or can I league it blank? and playing without stats? is this reckomended to make the game more realistic? Thanks for any help! |

I'm kinda grasping at straws here. But, I'd imagine Cuba would be a decent formula for finances.

If you want a challenge then play stats only. I'd also sim X amount of years then take over the worst team, also if your budget is say $5m then force yourself to only use $3m of it.

Locked-in minimums?
I'm no expert, but I think that when you start a fantasy league it is automatically the current season, and uses whatever league minimum salaries and norms are true in real life.
If that is so, your reducing the teams' budgets won't work: a player activated from the minors or asking for an extension will want more money than your teams will have. |
