Was about to go to bed and noticed this game is still going. Crazy ass A's. I lived in Michigan when Inge was in his prime and I like Cespedes' story so count me in. I love it if they win or lose, its just fun. If I weren't a fan of a rival team it'd be all on their side, but alas, I'm 50/50. Still, its fun.

I watched the game this morning from the 5th inning on. Wow, crazy! They really dragged it out and missed some opportunities, but a win is a win.
I noticed that Kottaras was on deck when Weeks hit the sac fly and was the first to hug Inge when he slid in with the winning run. He could've had his first AB as a walkoff but oh well. I'm sure he'll play tonight after Kurt caught 15 innings.

I watched through to the end. Two teams fighting for a wildcard spot and it was an epic ending. Glad they could end it against a real pitcher instead of having to bring out the position player hurlers.

Well no trade, and then shut out. After so much excitement all month, July ended with a whimper.
I have seen shades of the old A's the past two games. I sure hope the ride is not over. |

Mr. Straily is coming up, starting Friday night's game. If I was in the Bay Area I would so go to that game.

On a related note, I think Blackley is better suited for the 'pen. I mean with that pickoff move, he's best with a man on first.

Another game won in extra innings. -Although it shouldn't have gotten that far. But I guess thats what you get when you have a rookie closer.

At least there is a team near the NW that is fun to watch.
Didn't you guys want Coco Crisp's head a couple months ago? He's crunchaliscious.

Yep. And he probably would have been gone if someone wanted to pay his salary. Sometimes the best moves are the ones you don't make.

Anyone know why Griffin left the game so early today. I'm guessing injury, but can't find any info.

Right shoulder tightness is what they are saying. After throwing about an inning his velocity dipped way down.

Anyone know more about David Freitas? All I got is that he's 23 and he has good plate discipline(from Baseball reference). How is he defensively?

I don't know much about him, but the A's sure seem to have some catching depth now: Norris (MLB), Donaldson (AAA), Freitas (AA), Stassi (A).

I don't think there's any pitcher I like watching the A's beat more than C.J. Wilson.
Nice to see the green and gold come out with a good offensive showing after getting shut down the night before. Straily today - let's win the series! |

Straily didn't have a good day, but our bats are working!
