Sadly we need SS help the most and I don't think there's much help from the Brewers there.

And holy crap I just noticed that Rickie is just about as bad as his little bro this year. Yikes!

I don't know that you want his personality in what must be the loosest club house in Baseball right now. The A's may not be the best team in baseball but they might be the most confident right now.

There was some bizarre talk that Ramirez may come to Toronto. No one could understand where he would fit and why.

I'm not sure personality would've been a factor. The clubhouse is loose the team is winning. I think that'd be an easy thing to acclimate oneself to.

Now I'm wondering if our teams will find a match with Escobar. Otherwise Drew from AZ... Not sure who else is out there that is supposedly available.

11 to Zero in the 6th inning? Coco with 2 HRs? I guess since you can't have a walk off win on the road the A's finish it off early.

Thanks for mentioning it. I would have *completely* missed it. I won't be able to watch/listen, but at least I can put up one of those web play by play things to avoid work for the day.

I don't understand. What is this "L" next to the Oakland A's score?

So, we're about to get George Kottaras, huh?

Brewers Nearing George Kottaras Deal With A's: MLB Rumors - MLBTradeRumors.com

The first thought is that I guess Derek Norris is struggling and could use some more AAA time. Then Kottaras and Suzuki could platoon the rest of the way.

My second thought is though - speculating, connecting dots... Suzuki to Toronto is in the works? They just lost Arencibia to injury, we want Escobar... Things that make you go hmmmmm...

#Brewers trade of C George Kottaras to Oakland might not be announced tonight. Apparently waiting for A's to do another move first.

It's Kottaras for Fautino De Los Santos.

I think you'll like Kottaras, he's a fantastic hitter for a catcher. His defense isn't good but he's not awful either, just below average.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing how he fits into the lineup. Our catchers overall have been pretty atrocious offensively.

I donno. I really don't know much about Kottaras, but on paper he looks like a poor man's Jack Cust. -Only a catcher.

But G&GH is right, we've had no production from our catchers this season. But I don't expect more from Kottaras than we've gotten from Norris this year, except for maybe more walks.

We didn't give up a lot for him though. Fautino De Los Santos might be good if he can figure out some control. He actually reminds me a bit of Santiago Casilla, so that is his likely ceiling.

Pretty much but there's a lot of value in that. He's had some great at-bats this year as his plate discipline seems to have improved quite a bit. A 105 OPS+ OBP-heavy catcher is pretty good.
