DB's?

Hey Guys,

I took a few versions off from OOTP and now have OOTP13. I recall loading some of the database's and getting players nicknames and negro league guys and other such things. What happened? Am I missing something?

Thanks.

JP

You need to use a modded db to get what you are looking for.

If I recall correctly, isn't that something that you have been involved in making?????

Which one's work with OOTP13 and where do I find them and how do I install them?

Thanks!

I use the 1st Spritz-Gambo DB listed. It has all players including Negro Leaguers and Nippon players. In one of my Random Debut leagues a 20 yr old Satchel Paige was recently drafted #1 overall in the Ammy Draft.

So do we get Nick names and such in this file? How do we load it?

I am full of questions (and other stuff ).

Thanks all.

Not all of his players have nick names but most do. I believe Frank Thomas does not have Big Hurt (but I could be wrong I forget which DB i had brought him in from recently, and I added Big Hurt)

Download the DB.
You can either overwrite the current OOTP DB by cut & paste the S-G DB into your OOTP Stats folder. Or what I do is place it somewhere nearby like OOTP 13 DL - Misc and use it that way.
For a new Historical league when you create it go to advanced options you will see a way to select the db and you navigate your way to where you saved the S-G DB and select the master.cvs.
For an existing league copy the folder name of the db using ctrl-c
C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\OOTP 11 DL\OOTP 12 Sprirtz-Gambo DB
and paste under League Menu - League Options/Setup - Historical - DB using ctrl-v
For a fictional league it's under Options.

What other questions do you have?

Edit: The S-G DB is through 2010 so 2011 players you would have to switch to the stock DB. Might even be through 2010 I can't remember all I know is I use the OOTP 13 DB for my 2011 league since 2009 season.
