Playing out minor league games?
How do you manage minor league games. In 11 and 12 I played out every game fro my organization but I can't seem to figure out how to manage the minors in 13. I know it's probably right in front of my face but I am nt seeing it.
Thanks for any help. Greg |

You have to disable the world simulating in the background the first time you go to play a major-league game. Then, after you're done with that one, you can change leagues and watch (just realized you can't manage it) the minor league games.
I don't know if that helps at all... |

No, but appreciate the response. That's what I have been doing. I actually watch the minor league games play out pitch by pitch and get so frustrated with the minor league managers decisions.
I want to manage each game pitch by pitch so I can give time to the guys I want. Change player positions etc..... Minor league managers keep changing my changes. Greg Last edited by gregw1; 07-16-2012 at 07:52 PM. |

I will try that.
I can't see why Marcus would remove the ability to play out the minors through the normal game process. When I first started with OOTP I created a GM for each level of my organization and played out the games that way. When I found out you could play them out without doing this I changed how I was playing. I could go back to this way of playing but always wondered if it effected trading having a different "human" GM for each level. Greg |

Interesting ... I am assuming then that the major league GM cannot include any of his minor league players (under a human GM) in a trade with another team. |

I remember in past versions managing my minor league games. Odd that it was been changed. But playing in commish mode would enable you to manager any team's game, including your minors or your opponents

I may have to start a new game and assign a GM to a minor league team and see what happens. Might even see what happens when you attempt to assign a second created GM to another minor league team. |

Yes, you can create a human GM for each level of your organization. This is how I played originally. After the initial setup all the minor league GM's become managers.
I started a new game this morning and assigned A human GM to each level. I then picked a player I had traded for in my other game and hit the "make this work now" button and the team included players from all levels of my organization. So this doesn't seem to have an effect on trading, the AI sees you as the GM of the entire organization. I keep my manager settings with everything set to me and lineups, depth charts set to minor league managers. If you set minors to you you won't be able to make changes when you change from you to the alternate GM. I would prefer to be able to play as I did in 11 and 12 with just 1 human GM but I guess this will work. Greg |

You can force the AI to play your prospects at certain positions within the strategy tab.
