USoB - Fictional Writing League

The 'United States of Baseball' is currently under construction. The idea was introduced to me after the former league we had all participated in had closed down. We decided to take 8 of the most active, and creative GM's from that league to create our own.

The 'United States of Baseball' will be an optional writing league. It is optional because you are not forced to do it, but are rewarded if you are. We have a system in place where GM's can earn points based on their participation. These points can be spent on helping there younger players develop faster through the minor leagues and many other things. We've put a system in place that we feel can help encourage league articles, but won't hurt those who don't participate.

There are many ways to earn points, it's as simple as just exporting, posting on the forums and voting. More points can be earned by posting league, team or player articles as well. The rewards are not made to give teams a big advantage over those who do not earn enough points, but a nice way to thank those who do participate.

With that said, we have not decided on all the rules yet, we would like to fill up the league before we do. For now though, we do have some rules set in stone and you can find them below.

Sim Days: M - W - F (7 days per sim)

Player Ratings: 1 - 10
Potential Ratings: 1 - 10

Season Schedule: 120 games
Scouts/Coaches: OFF

We will also have a system in place where every team starts off equally, we are currently negotiating the idea of putting a salary cap in place as well. If you would like to be part of the 'United States of Baseball', now is a great time as you can help shape our league.

We are also currently in the process of writing a back-story to our fictional league. The forums have not been up for very long so we are working on improving them as well. If you are interested in joining, I encourage you to create an account on our forums and PM me here with your user name.
