Don't think so. There's no gap large enough in his game-by-game log. I'll see if I can figure out how to upload the file.

FYI, he went hitless the next day and I got the news story saying his hitting streak had ended.

EDIT: My ftp client on my mac is asking me for a password when I try to connect. It won't let me log in as a guest. Also, he was promoted on May 1, but that was in the midst of the actual 7-game hitting streak and doesn't seem to coincide with any other career events that would throw off the calculation of a hitting streak.

Looks like it uploaded through filezilla. The zip is RandyS. The player in question is Matt Duffy. He's the only Matt Duffy in that game.

That's not how streaks are tracked in real life. If a player moves from the AL to the NL (or vice versa) and had previously played in the NL seven years ago, he does not get credit for continuation of a streak that was ongoing when he left the NL seven years prior. So maybe the game worked the way it's set up, but it's set up wrong.

On an entirely different note, in this same world, I have a pitcher in Triple-A -- Yunesky Maya of the Buffalo Bisons -- who has a day-to-day injury who I cannot get to go on the DL. I've tried every possible way to place a player on the DL and when I click 7-Day DL on the pop-up window, the window closes but Maya does not go on the DL.

We're talking about different levels. Double-A, Triple-A, Major League, etc. If a player has a hitting streak in progress at a certain level, he resumes the streak once he returns to that level (via promotion or demotion).

If that's how the game tracks streaks, the news story should reflect that.

The bigger issue is the DL problem, which is now happening to a second player, Sean Kazmar at Double-A Binghamton. He's day-to-day for a week with a bruised wrist and no matter what I do, the game won't place him on the DL. That makes two players the game won't put on the DL. I'm going to upload a new zip file named RandyS_2.

EDIT TO ADD: I've been able to place other minor leaguers with day-to-day injuries on the DL.

Ive noticed in the last 2 games that Ive tried to play that the leaderboard isnt showing correctly. Originally I noticed when Hanley Ramirez reached the PA plato to score on the leaderboard for the Marlins that it didn't show up. Now Ive started again and Mark Buerhle has just reached over 162 IP and he is not registered in the first season but Josh Johnson has. Now I was under the impression that Johnson had not reached 162 but then he suddenly had, I may be wrong with that but it might be worth checking. With regard to Buerhle, he is on 166IP and registers on the career leaderboard but not in the top 10 of the Marlins along with Johnson.

Im worried as I dont want this to miss out, the stats and leaderboards are what I really dig on OOTP. Buerhle's ERA is just over 3 and it was likley to stand the test of time in the season best for a while. If I trade him now he will be forgotten in the annuals of time!!!

I am not sure if this is where I should reply. It seems to me the thread is very big and my post might get lost.

I too have a Western Digital My Book Live and all is well. I think the biggest issue is that you are using Samba (SMB) shares. SMB implements the DOS FAT file structure which does not allow for linux file permissions. This can cause all sorts of file troubles. I suggest you do what I have done and use the Unix NFS shares as they are faster and support all the file permissions Linux wants to see.

The WD My Book Live is in fact a Linux device which is great news. All you need to do it use a hidden setting to enable ssh then you can log into a command shell on the My Book device. Open this URL in a web browser:

http://<mybook ip>/UI/ssh

turn on the ssh option. Now you can "ssh <mybook ip>", then edit (I use vi) /etc/exports to share /. Then you can mount all the folders in /shares on your linux boxes using /etc/fstab.

If you start the LIVE SIM and let it go without adjusting, it appears to work great.

However:

- If you WATCH game or enter a game, the live sim stops airing for that day and does not continue if you leave game and resume

- My box scores and game log for the live sim do not work, they go to an error page when you click on them on the webpage

Please advise.

Since updating to the latest version yesterday, I noticed that while on the roster screens I'm getting certain players' names showing up in all caps. Not sure if this is a new feature (if so, what does it mean?) or if it's just a glitch.

Those are players that you have shortlisted. It's intentional and is a new feature.

Anyone seen this after the upgrade yesterday?

This is my SP league I run, I also run an on-line league on v13 but it does not have the same issue. I patched up yesterday and didn't do a full install



If I filter to general news or any other option the issue disappears.

I did both. I patched, saw this, and then uninstalled and reinstalled the full game. Same problem. I thought it might be associated with two things:

• I used the OOTP12 vera font in my game. That wasn't it, as the reinstall showed.
• I have over 30,000 messages in my game. But, you only have 4,313, I see, so I don't think that's it.

Besides, I had nearly the same amount of messages before I patched and I did not have this problem.


Interesting note, as I just edited my other post: I'm not seeing this problem with my manager mail window (thank goodness - that would be an issue for sure). I only see it on the news listing. Here's my manager message window and it looks fine:

Am I the other way around.

I see the issue looking at my messages through the Manager News and Mail tab, but if I go through Major League/News Listing/Read News I don't get the issue.

If you click the arrows to make the icon bar go away, it disappears as it should. However, when you click to make it reappear, the space that it should occupy appears (I set it to show up along the bottom, so a gutter along the bottom appears) but there are no buttons.

I restarted the game and the bar is still gone. Working on getting it to show back up now.
(edit: going to preferences and changing it's position made the buttons reappear)
