Owners Dying

It doesnt really affect the game play but I think in the first year of all my sim's about 75% of the owners die in that first year. Just wanted to see if anyone else was having that problem.

I have completed four years in my fictional league, and no owners have died.

Wow Thats real strange. Yeah every time I start up I have a message in my mail saying an owner died like every other week.

In my main league only one owner died, but for MLB only 6 owners are still alive from 1999, now 2011. I also have changed to correct ownership when the team is sold and still only 6 remain. I want a lock ownership option for 14.This way owners can't die or sell the team.

Well into my second season and four owners have died this far (none in my first season). Mind you they were all in their 70's and two came from Chicago teams, probably the weather? Each one had a son willing to step in and take over, which is always handy?!

I was going to create a topic about this after I finished my first season a few weeks ago, because 5 or 6 of owners in my league died in the first year. I thought this was kind of ridiculous, because in real life, an average year is lucky to see one change in ownership, and rarely is it due to death (at least to my knowledge). But then I have completed 2 more seasons in that league and 3 more in another fictional league, and have only seen about 4 ownership changes combined (3 due to death and 1 due to selling team). So I feel that it could just be that the first season was a fluke, but I feel that it could still be fixed so that never happens, because it is pretty unrealistic.

My first season saw at least four owners die and turn over teams to heirs. Maybe five. ... But I've had no ownership changes or owner deaths in the second season.
