1968 Mickey Stanley missing rating

I'm not sure if I asked this in the past or not but here goes....in 1968 Mickey Stanley played SS for the Tigers but he is not rated for SS in IOOTP. Is there a way I can add SS to the positions he can play? I do not understand why that position would be left off his ratings.

Because he made just 8 starts at SS and that is not enough to rate him properly. But of course you can play him at SS and eventually he will learn the new position.
