Remove Jim Unknown
Hi again,
I was allowing ghost players but I was seeing them appear in the Major Leagues (I'm using three levels of minor leagues), so I want to turn them off. I did so, but there are still "Jim Unknown"s all over everyone's rosters. Is there any way to remove all of them? Thanks in advance! -Bill |

Couldn't he also sort by name; getting all the "Jim Unknown"'s together. Then, using the tag controls (or whatever those circles on the far left are called) select the first one and (holding down the SHIFT key) select the last one; then right-click and delete.

As suggested, go to the "all players" report, sort by name, mass select any Unknowns and delete. |

Does the all players report show players in various leagues? I did it league by league since I could not find Jim Unknown in all 5 leagues + minor leagues at the time. Under League Menu List All MLB Players it only seems to show MLB players not MiLB players. Thats where I deleted the Unknowns from.

I think the important thing is whether they are persistent. If so, then you may have a serious problem with your league. If they occur one-time, say after you've done something unusual to your rosters, then you can clean them up and forget about them. Beware, though, the Jim Unknowns that made your major league rosters and contributed to history that you may want to preserve intact! In that case, you may want to edit those guys to "Jim Brown" or "Jim Thorpe" instead of deleting them. That's what I did when I noticed Jim Unknowns early in my league's history. I had done the MLB/fictional player routine of flushing real players to free agency, deleting them all, repopulating teams with fictional players, flushing them too, and scheduling an inaugural draft. Some Jim Unknowns popped up somewhere in that process. I edited or deleted them all and haven't seen any since, 18 "years" later. |

Blue correct, but you have to find Jim Unkowns based on each league. Albatross the circles only show up in player screen not in the search menu. |
