Include Retired Players option?

I am in the 1946 season and I released everyone to the free agent pool. When I View all Major league players it shows 715 players, but then when I check the box in the upper right for Include retired players the pool drops to 608 players. Shouldn't checking this box ADD to the player pool I am looking at not decrease it?

Something is gerfunkled, for sure. The number of displayed players should go up, not down, if the show retired players option box is checked. Sorry that I cannot help you more than that.
