Version 1.0.2 update

The new update finally went into final testing (should not take to long) and will be available shortly.

As I already wrote, at the moment I split my time between iOOTP and the hockey project and since the hockey project is about to get into (pre-)beta phase, work on the update got delayed a bit. As a consequence, I will keep iOOTP updates smaller but more frequently in the future.

To tease you a bit about the upcoming update, here are two screenshots:

Inf is for information. Usually it shows hot streaks, injuries etc.... But as this is the minors the arrow is telling you these players are ready to play in the majors.

I assume anyway

Just wondering, will the update include the fixed versions of historic seasons 2004 and 2007? Both Red Sox teams are missing Kevin Youkilis. I questioned this in a separate post.

Just looking again at your shot of the Chicago Minor League Roster

One thing that continues to prove cumbersome is when I have to scroll through the pages of my Minor league's Roster
This also happens when attempting Trades when seeing a team's entire organisation (Active & Minor League)

Is is possible to do this solely by scrolling up and down as your shot displays ?

I think this is linked to the number of players in a Minor League Roster as when I has 60+ (11 pages) I had to go page-by-page
... however after adding 15 of these players to the Active Roster once the 40-man allowance kicked in the pages were removed and I was able to view the remain of my Minor League Roster on one page using the scroll bar

Is this possible to sort out ?
Am I the only one who thinks this is a bit irritating - if so then I'll shut up

Apart from that this is an amazing game - and one I'll continue to buy for years to come !!

I created a bug report for this issue for both iOOTP and OOTP13. To date, I have seen no indication that anyone has addressed it. So, I'm guessing the answer is no.

Boy this is an another worthless update

Too bad you cannot make the iOOTP 12 as good as your OOTP games or I should say you can make it as good as OOTP series but you will not

Erm , don't play it then ....

Maybe you and TC should create a new game - should only take you about 100 years

Edit : Must try to stop reacting to your negativity but you guys are seem to waste so much time complaining about a product that you have the option not to use. If you want a refund then go through the normal channels
The majority of the posters here are positive - even when pointing out issues that are affecting the game.

We're not negative about the game. We're negative about the lack of support, especially compared to last year.

When Sebastian comes on here and says "I'm on vacation till Tuesday, then I'm totally on something else for two weeks", and says that while we're waiting for an update, it's the equivalent of saying "hope they approve this one first time out, or you're screwed till the middle of July." Maybe in your ass-kissing world, you call that customer service. I don't. If you don't like the complaints, don't read the threads. If you don't like that, tough s***.

Dude at least he's letting us know he's on vacation and not just MIA. And also, it's not really up to him what he works on, he has a boss like everyone else. It makes sense to work on something else while you're waiting for an update to be approved. Not really sure what your problem is other than you're impatient and an ass.

Iootp is a good game but what made OOTP great was that other people created programs to make it better which eventually was incorporated by OOTP baseball after several years. (Cato editor, Pierre utilities, Anderson utilities)

it should have been obvious to Marcus or Sebastian that after all their experience what people wanted with OOTP that they would have known better what to incorporate into iOOTP.

it is to me disappointing that they could have made iOOTP better than it is now
I have played more than 60 seasons of OOtp and 20 seasons of iOOTp baseball
Of the two OOTP is overall better and is superior to iOOTP

The iOOTP game can be better.
It is with criticism that drives developers to make games better and superior.

The iOOTP should be integrated with pc or Mac versions.

Next generation tablet pc will have interchangeable apps across all platforms and eventually will replace laptops once personal computing needs are addressed

I agree that the game could be better. I have had my share of suggestions but most were ignored because I was the only one asking for them (for example the ability to airprint the results of games). However, I do think the game has good playability for $5 and I appreciate having it on my phone and Ipad. REMEMBER when they came out with this game they pointed out that they have limitations because of the memory constraints of IOS devices so we should all realize that while the game could be better it will never be exactly like the computer version.
