Post Game Freezes, Pitchers still pitch

I just recently got the patch to upgrade to 4c, but I still get this problem:

I am using the rosters that came with the game, and I have been using Rolen's 2002 rosters with no problems so far. But I wanted to use the fictional names and I keep getting this problem.

Every now and then as I'm simming a day, the game freezes, I have to Ctrl-Alt-Dlt and start the game over. Problem is that the game doesn't get simmed, but the pitcher actually takes the mound and it shows up as having thrown 70+ pitches. If this happens twice a week I'm screwed because I need to call someone up since my starters are too tired. What is going on? I have never gotten this problem before.

I have a PIII-750 (Dell)
384MB RAM

Please help

You need to check a couple of things:

-See if there is an injured SP in any of the team's rotations.
-Go to league setup and change all teams to computer controlled then try to complete that day of games.
-Look at the lineups and make sure that each player has a position beside his name in the lineup.

Tried all that, still no good. It's not just one particular day that hangs the game. I can play through a week, then suddenly one of these days will hang the game. I reboot the game, then play that day just fine, then in 4 or 5 days (random amounts of days) it happens again. I don't get it.

THe weird thing is that I played like 10 seasons before and had zero problems.(with ROlens 2002 rosters). Now for some reason on my 3rd season with the game's rosters I am getting this problem out of nowhere.

If this was an online league they would probably use a back up file right after the crash to be on the safe side.

For you I would 1st suggest turning all teams to AI control and running auto-manager. That might clear up the problem. If the problems continued after that I'd then suggest that you reset the season. Resetting means restarting the season from opening day which is a pain, but repetitive crashes are frustrating too I'm sure .
