Wild Things League needs 5 owners

We are at the trade deadline in our league and had 5 teams not get any exports in so far including our recently completed amateur draft, so we are relieving those owners of responsibility and looking for replacements.

The following teams are available-
Philly Star Home Page Claimed, no longer available
Milwaukee Braves Home Page
Pittsburgh Buckeyes Home Page Claimed, no longer available
Baltimore Orioles Home Page Claimed, no longer available
Laredo Border Patrol Home Page Claimed, no longer available

Take a look at the league and the teams at Wildthings2.com

We are the 'Wild Things League', a group of owners that used OOTP 6.5 for a random debut league (BEFORE it was all the rage) and are now converting and starting anew with OOTP 13. We are starting in a 1962 universe, mostly because it gives us 20 teams and we are using 2 sub leagues and 4 divisions with division winners and 2 wildcards making playoffs. We have populated our teams with players from baseballs history and we have a level of AA minors and Rookie Ball, which you will customize those teams as well.

Each league is having a DH, and each team has a AA and a Rookie team. 25 man limit on the AA squad and no limit on the Rookie. Draft is June 15 w/ a random import of players and we email draft two rounds with the rest being auto selected (talent is cruddy by then anyhow). 40 man rosters w/ Rule 5 draft and a hefty tax for going over the average payroll by more than 25% are part of the league. As well there is no draft pick trading (that never works for keeping competitive balance, so we are forcing owners who are, lets say, less adept, from throwing their futures away year in and year out) and we are using free agent compensation rules that were just included in the new basic agreement.

We ask for a $10 donation for the website and server fees, and that you be active in managing your team and responding to emails. We are a very fun group and we are looking for the select few who share our love of OOTP and comraderie. If interested, reply here or email me at pcdawson2@yahoodotcom with your 'qualifications' and good luck!

1. League Settings:
o Season Length- 162 games
o Four 5 team divisions determined by geography (you name your teams)
o Major, AA, and Rookie level team
o Playoffs- Divisional Series Best of 7, LCS and World Series Best of 7
o Actual and Potential Player Ratings: 2-8
o Draft Length- 10 rounds June 15 draft- Lottery system similar to NBA so no tanking to get #1
o Coaches are off and Scouts are on
o Suspensions and Injuries are ON, Both to very low
o CPU Trades are ALLOWED, Difficulty is HARD, favoring prospects
o DH is enabled for the American League and National League
o 10/5 Rule is disabled. Veterans cannot VETO a trade. Cannot refuse minors assignment
o Draft Pick trading is NOT ALLOWED
o Trading of recently drafted players is NOT ALLOWED
o Signing Bonuses are Enabled
o Free agency compensation will occur per MLB rules recently instilled.
o 40 man rosters w/ Rule 5 draft
