Sad

This is a sad story. Made me think what my life would be without my son.

Indeed a sad story.

He seems like a strong individual and from his words and attitude it looks like he has learned a lot from this experience.

I really do wish the best for him and his wife.

I had some close friends lose a baby about 10 days before their due date.

Very difficult for them (and very hard on me as well). Just found out they are due again in September.

IMO we are best off abandoning that sinking ship that is Off Topic to the rats infesting it and just starting a whole new Baseball Forum from scratch.

Geez. I hope they have better luck with the next one.

I know what you mean. I have 7 yr old twin boys and if anything EVER happened to them, my life would in all reality end.

wow...with the complications my wife had with that cute guy in my avatar, I can only be thankful for my own fortune, and sorry for Jurevicious. Can't even imagine it.

I take it that once you have (well, the mother that is) a child, life changes dramatically.

I understand why you couldn't live with yourself if your own creation were to pass, but the strength and seriousness in the words seem to indicate that life without them, once they are there, is not the same as life before them.

I would love to have a child in the future, for that reason. It seems like somethin special. But, I also want to enjoy my life without one, b/c I realize that after one is here life is never the same again.

I really feel sympathy for Joe Jurevicius, his team comes off winning the big game and he ends up losing his son. Poor Poor Guy...

I dont see any way of really "moving on" after losing someone close like that and I really hope that he can get back on track before the season starts.

I thought we were out of the woods. Reading all of this, with my wife seven months pregnant... I'm getting scared.

Having gone through it, KC, it's a scary thing. My wife is a tough nut (and so is my little boy), but it's scary, especially when, as the husband, your role is to be strong and act like you have it together. I didn't sleep a whole hell of a lot during her pregnancy. Just keep doing what doctors say, don't push too hard, do the regular checkups and all that stuff. My son was born 7 weeks early, was in the hospital for two weeks after that hooked up to tubes and all that stuff...he's now the adorable little guy in my avatar and he's doing perfect, other than being very slightly anemic, and condition that keeps improving.

Just be strong and do everything you can to help each other, talk to each other and say what you're feeling. And talk to the belly He/she WILL recognize your voice. And THAT is a wonderful feeling.

Goodnight, folks.
