Can we play pitch by pitch and swing by swing ?

Can we play pitch by pitch and swing by swing and control all the things a player or manager on the field would control ? Calling pitches, telling players to steal bases, telling batters to bunt or swing for the fences ? What is the deal here ? For me baseball is not all about the financial stuff but if it is in a baseball game it also better include the ability to manage each and every game like other sims such as APBA and Strat-O-Matic and more.

You can, except for calling pitches (and maybe swing for the fences, I don't recall). If it's just doing a whole at-bat for each click of the mouse, there should be a button in the bottom right (I think) that says something like "pitch-by-pitch mode" which does exactly what it says.

I may be a tad off on some of that. I haven't played out a game in a while.

Yes you can play swing by swing and pitch by pitch. Or Entire at bat via each click of the mouse.

You cannot determine which pitches are thrown however.
