Need help with new stadium installs...
Ok, I'm having some problems with using new stadiums (mainly Teflons)...but also, a few others from Henry, I believe. Since they are from different downlods, how can I combine the park.dat & parkconfig.dat files. Does that make sense?
I guess what I'm asking is how to install them, if worse comes to worse, one by one, from different stadium d/l's. Thanks again, Eddie

Since I see all the views and no replies, let me try to clarify this:
I copied all the stadium pics that I want to use into my stadiums folder, which is inside my graphics folder. I then go into edit ballpark and change the in-game pic to the one I want...no problem there. But, I have not put any of the park.dat nor parkconfig.dat files into the league folder because I don't know how to use 2 separate park.dat files from 2 different D/L's of stadiums. SO that's my problem...anyone help? Please?

You can't combine .dat files. You'll have to input the info by hand.
OR here's another idea.... Create a dummy league and apply one of your park & parkconfig.dat files. Use the stadium export function on all of those parks (do search on how to properly use the export, if not aware.) Then do the same with the next set of .dat files. Now you'll have exports of all of the stadiums you want. Next, use the stadium import function to load each stadium into the league you want. |

As far as inputing the info by hand...what all info does that entail?
Thank you, btw

Here's another idea. Use the .dat file with the most stadiums as a base. At least you won't have to input those. Just change anything you want for those.
Then you'll need to use the 'creat a stadium' function. Once the stadium is created you'll need to open that stadium's edit screen and put all the info in. You'll need to apply the other .dat file to a dummy league so you can see the info. Perhaps you'll want to write the info down (factors, dimensions, wall heights, coordinates, etc.) and then put the info into each created stadium by hand. Close ootp and restart it. See if that works. If not, perhaps someone can give further help who have experienced this problem.

Also - are you sure they are .bmp files, not .jpg?

For future reference, you shouldn't need to quit the program, just exit the "Edit Ballpark" function. Go anywhere else, standings, almanac, whatever. When you go back to the Edit Ballpark screen, it should update with the current park.dat info.
Or, at least, it always does for me. --Eriq. |

Yes. The info in 'edit ballpark' will update, but when you go to play the game all of the previous ballpark graphics will be there. The game must store that info in a temp file or something. But, in order to see any new ballpark graphics in the in-game you have to close and restart the program.

That, coupled with the Stadium Editor, got me on the road to OOTP Paradise
