Dumb question - How to move guy off of active roster
I want to move one of my guys from the active roster to the 40 man roster (so I can move one of my guys on the 40 man to active).
However, whenever I go to place the guy I want on my active roster it says the 25 man is full. But I don't see an option to simply remove a guy off my 25 man roster (unless I waive him?). |

Also. I keep getting this message. "The Braves have a player desginated for assignment whos DFA time runs out today, he must be assigned or relased".
What do I do here? I've said to place him on my 40 man roster and he shows up there. But I still can't advance to the next day. I get the same message over and over. |

You need to move a player from your ML roster to a minor league team. If the player you want to move has option years left it is simple, if he does not then you need to pick another player or the player needs to clear waivers. Placing a player on waivers and DFA will clear up a roster spot. It will also let the rest of your league take the player if they want him.

Are you playing with minor leagues or a reserve roster?
The player on the 25 man roster is automatically on the 40 man roster, but you need to take him off the active roster to either the minor leagues or reserve roster. Go to transactions and place the player with your minor league affiliate, or reserve roster if playing with that. The DFA player has to be assigned to a minor league team, or released. I hope that answers your question. |

If you get a message that the player has not cleared waivers then you need to release him. The problem will be that to move the player down a level you need to expose him to the rest of the league. If you want you can call it a rookie mistake, release him and then go in commish mode and put him back on your team.
