trading????
just started a historical replay with the 2005 indians, and was messing around with the trading feature, and found it remarkably easy to get great players for nearly nothing. i got granderson and jose reyes for 2 very low rated minor leaguers, respectively, just because those 2 players maybe werent good that year, they were great in a few years down the road. someone mentioned a "recalc" setting, however i didnt see that anywhere during set up. i feel like i could get any decent player for a few crappy minor leaguers. is this a glitch in the game? is what im doing going to screw me over in the long run?

It's supposed to be harder to get over on the AI. What trade settings do you have? I use Neutral Hard. I was trying to trade for Greg Maddux from a rebuilding team but all they wanted was my .289 25 Hr 58 RBI 20 yr old SS. Maddux is 36ish and 3-8 3.76. I tried to overload other lesser players namely upcoming FA and couldn't get the deal done. On the easy settings i am sure i could have gotten Maddux.

granderson and jose reyes are only number to the AI what they will become in the future means nothing, that is one of the facts of playing historical. You know how they will turn out to the AI they are just another player.
You will always have an advantage over the AI because you know the future while the AI doesn't |
