40 man roster and september called not automatic?

Hi y'all,

I've got my 25 man roster and my 40 man roster, and when September 1 (the roster expansion date) in my league rolled around, I though those players on the 40 man roster would automatically appear on my Major League roster. But they didn't, so I manually moved them over.

If that's what needs to be done, that's fine. But then, what's the point of the 40 man roster? Or is there a setting I need to switch so this happens automatically?

There is no setting, you have to move the players up yourself.

I would definitely NOT want this to be automatic simply because I don't call up every player on my 40 man roster each year when expanded rosters are allowed. As GM I want full control over that.

There are plenty of reasons for the 40 man roster, such as protecting players from the rule 5 draft.

You can guarantee that if it were automatic there would be tons of whining about it.
