DL List
I am running a fictional league, no minors, very small rosters. What difference does it make if I put a guy on 7 day or 60 day DL. If he is injured for 6 months as an example. 7 days he is still out for the entire time so as far as the game is concerned what is the difference?

If you have secondary (40-man) rosters smaller than the sum of your active roster and reserve roster, then the 60-day DL frees up a secondary roster spot. Otherwise it makes no difference (for example, you have a 25-man active roster and a 10-man reserve roster, with no secondary roster at all).

That is point right there. If you don't have secondary (40-man) rosters active, than the 60-day DL is worthless, might as well not even bother putting a guy on it, although the AI will still use it for guys on long term injuries.

OK this is what I thought but I wasn't sure if it had any bearing on heal rates and such. Thanks for the reply.
