Pitching Question

Please see if you can recreate the following I think this might be a bug.

I set the game up where the CPU controls the Pitching Strategy but I control Offensive Strategy and Substitutions. Anyhow I pinch hit for my pitcher and after the inning was over I selected the new pitcher from my bullpen. Ok so everything is normal there. However during the following inning when my team is in the field, my reliever is getting nailed and I want to take him out and substitute him with another arm from my bullpen, however because I selected the CPU to take care of the Pitching Strategy I am not able to make the change. I think we should still be able to make the change even if the CPU is controlling the Strategy if we are in control of Substitutions. What do you guys think? Mind you I know I could go back into options and change it back to me controlling the pitching strategy then make the change then change it back after but I don't think a lot of people will want to do that.
