Player Disappeared

I was playing a game and left clicked on Lou Brock's icon in the LH Batter's box on the field and the icon disappeared. I can't get the icon for LH batters to come back. How can I fix this?

Did you get the player icon boxes to come back? The RH hitters show up just fine but the LH ones are like the Invisible Man.

Sometimes they show up, other times they are missing.

They've just moved off of your "viewable" screen. You can either adjust your coordinates for that position (ballpark editor), or see if the icons are somewhere on the edges of your screen and drag them back.

Do you mean configure screen? Which coordinates do I adjust? Batter info does not affect the player icon box on the field. Because I did an uninstall and reinstall and the LH batter is still missing. I tried dragging around the other components to see if the batter was somewhere behind and I cannot find him.

I think Lou Brock is messing with you for not giving him all that playing time you promised him when Curt Flood was injured for "33 months"...which turned out to be, ahem, 2 days.
Try checking Lou's locker, I think you'll find the icon there.

Nice.

But it's not just Lou Brock. It's ALL LH Hitters.

Besides which, Brock started every game when Flood was on the 15-Day DL.

Anyways, need a little help figuring this out.

Check out in General Discussions on 5-5-2012 "Resized my game screen".

Look at the coordinates for the catcher and maybe type in a set of values that will get the position to appear on the screen again. Then you can drag it back into place.
Hope this post, unlike my other, actually helps. I have not had this issue yet so I don't have any direct knowledge of the fix.

I wanted to add one thing. From the post you included quoting 1998 Yankees, am I to understand that the problem I'm having with the disappearing player icon box will only happen when I'm in the stadium where the game was taking place at the time of the problem?

I think it is hiding and you need to look behind the playing field and other items on your screen and you will find it. Drag or shrink things on your screen and look behind them.

I tried that and could not find the missing icon. This is very frustrating.

That is the way I read it, at that stadium only. Doesn't sound like you've played a game at another stadium yet to find out for sure.
You may want to PM 1998 Yankees and bring his attention to your issue here.

Pull up the coordinates screen and look at your catcher's x y. Your LH batters should have originally been somewhere in that vicinity. If they're not any longer- and presumably WAY off -adjust them within a reasonable range of the catcher's x y and it should show up.

As a last resort, although it'd tick me off, and has, is to check the auto reset screen box and then everything will be where the game wants it to be, but you'll have to put everything back where YOU want it. I'm hopeful that the first option works for you. In fact, I can't imagine why it wouldn't.

Thanks endgame!
That should solve your issue Groucho. If it doesn't, see endgame's signature. Good luck!

Which menu screen do I do this in? The one 1998 Yankees mentioned?

Yes, in the ballpark editor screen. Just an aside to your original post, I've found it best, when you want to click on a player "on the field" (for whatever reason), to click on their name in the lineup instead of the field icon. Saves you the trouble of somehow moving/losing the icon.
