Will this play do bad or good now?

He has two stars as a rating, does that automatically mean he is terrible?

Well he is definitely in decline. I would not think that he could have a season like the last so for me I would try to trade him and get something of value before he declines. He won't get any better, he is 37 year old.. Also, if his ratings drop on his sinker he will only be a borderlline starter at best or he may be demoted to relief duties.

Also depends on what kind of scout you have. If I recall correctly, there is a big difference between "Tools" scouts and "Ability" scouts in terms of their ratings (and I believe it applies to current players as well as amateurs). The fact that his stats still have potentials assigned to them tells me that there is still room to believe that he will have one more good season. I would definitely watch the next season and be ready to pull the trigger if you have someone who can replace him from your minor league team or if a worthy FA is on the market.

I would be trying to trade him with two years left on that contract.

Good catch - I thought it was just a year. I still think he'd be serviceable as a low-rotation pitcher, but trading would not be a bad thing if you can get someone of decent value in return.

I don't know how well he'll do, but boy, he sure looks like he's lost some weight!
