Ok, I simmed a season and still no luck

No idea what else I can test

Makes the game impossible to play like this since option years are so prevelant in baseball :-(

Thx

Have you tried not being in commissioner mode? You can sim to the playoffs in commissioner mode and then turn it off.

I just unlicensed, uninstalled, reinstalled and relicensed right now.

I am simming a season right now as the Rays and not in commissioner mode.

Do option years work for you? Can you sim a season and have the option work without it saying "message expired"?

I am wondering if it some sort of permission issue. I am running on Win 7 64 bit and I am wondering if there is something funky

Thx

Curious. Are you the GM of the team you are trying to give the player the option? Or are you simply in Commissioner Mode using the "play as" feature? I think you need to be the GM of the team to select the team option.

Definitely the GM since I select "Cannot be fired"

Does it work for you? I am wondering if it is just me?

Thx

In my current league I have no players that have the team option. Most of mine want the player option.......

Just did another sim after a reinstall and relicense and still no luck

Grrrrrrr

This is really frustrating as I cannot really play since so many contracts have options in them

Thx

Well, can you do a quickstart and select the Rays? I know they have team options for a few of their players and if you sim the season, you can find out if it works for you?

Takes only about 10 mins to sim a season if you turn off all the notifications

Thx

You should play another season and before the offseason starts save the files and submit a tech support ticket. It is strange that no one else is seeing this issue.

I'm having same problem

I never get a message/reminder of the option year-- alert. When I find the message later-- it always says expired. Not sure how to fix this.

Yup, same thing happens to me

What happens is that the option does get executed or voided but it still says expired. So it seems to work BUT it doesn't tell you via a response message

Thx

I suppose this is too easy, so probably not it, but just to make sure.... they aren't mutual options are they? Cause if they're mutual options, and the player declines, then no response is needed by the GM.

I know this is probably too obvious, but I had to ask because it's something I know I would forget about myself.

Nah, I always use team options

Playing as the Rays, I have to be careful with my budget

Thx,
