Womens Baseball league

i recently got ootp11 and wanted to create the league that the film "A League Of There Own" was based on here is the website.All-American Girls Professional Baseball League Players Association

would this be possible as the game seems to set the rosters as random male names....is there a way to change to all females....

or has a mod been made like this before..

maybe some guys would like to help with this.
please help.

p.s. this is my first post so if i am in the wrong forum or broken any rules move my post if needs be thanks.

Firstly, I don't think many people here will be fans of the idea (women's leagues tend to be a divisive topic lol), but it's your game.

As to the problems, names use a file called "first_names.txt", which by default has male names in it. I don't know if it's still around, but there was a female names file posted a while ago. Remember to back up the original name file if you use it though. If it's not around, there are a few lists of girls names on the internet.

You might also want to turn facegen off so that you don't get women with male faces.

Finally, the PbP text file (which is "english.xml") can be edited to change pronouns from male to female. This wont completely change the PbP though because some of the text is hard coded and can't be changed. This isn't really needed if you don't play games out.

Yeah, there's nothing you can do about the heights and weights of the generated players.

Personally I like the idea since in 1 of my leagues I have Dottie Hinson, Mae Mottivida (however its spelled) Kit Keller and Marla Hootch. I have the facegens for them but other then Geena Davis u cant tell that its Madonna or the chick that played Kit or Marla. When I played High Heat I added an all female team the Pontiac Firebirds in 2030 (left off with 2038) they have had 1 winning season since joining the league and r 60% male now.Eventually this same team will be part of my EBL league.

Would u offer it up as a quickstart if/when u finish it?

making it as a quickstart is easy...the tab that has save game feature also has an option to save game as quickstart. after its done u go into you OOTP - quickstarts folder and (i use XP) send to ZIP then put it on a file sharing site like Mega Upload or Uploading.com or even email it to Padresfan if you want to share it for future and all OOTP users.

heres a few not all are from LOTO.

Karen Gallagher was the youngest person to play in the WPSL. The Chicago Ravens drafted her in 1976 at the age of 17. Here's her card:

I love watching leagues especially if the players are women.
