Sounds like we might get an answer next month. Not holding my breath but still...

The pitchers are no slouches. Let him have a run at the AL Central (minus Verlander)

Random, but amazing, fact in last night's game :

Bartolo Colon threw 38 strikes in a row in last night's win. Too lazy to search how close he came to a record, but still, my apologies to Mr. Colon who I've had doubts early in the season.

Really sweet game last night.

Here's hoping Colon keeps it up!

In this piece it says they've only been keeping the data since 1988, and Colon's streak is the longest in that span.

He's definitely exceeding expectations, that's for sure.

I hope he stays healthy long enough for Beane to get a good return at the deadline. Hey, maybe he can even be our team's All Star this year. Maybe even we can get two with Colon and Cespedes. Hey, I can dream.

Wow according to this piece Wakefield is second on that list with 30. First, it proves how unique was Colon's streak last night and second, who would have thought a Knuckleballer would be the next on the list!

If you saw the broadcast last night, Glen Kuiper was doing the Naked Gun thing..... He was saying "Strike" just as the ball left Colon's hand.

Oh! And that 39th pitch should have been called a strike. It was right on the outside black.

Nice! I'll take a look on MLB.tv

Milone held his own yesterday... but you can consider yourself lucky when you get more runs than hits in a win.

The Angels were really, really flat the last two games. Ever since the A's scored 4 in the 8th inning a couple days ago. Lets hope that was just an early indication that the Angels will be bad this year. (but I'm not holding my breath)

Yes but the Angels proved that you lose a lot when you have more errors than runs.

It really must suck as an Angels fan to see yourself 7 games out of first already though.

So much for off-loading Crisp to Boston.

Chicago Cubs trade OF Marlon Byrd to Boston Red Sox - ESPN Boston

And Byrd is hitting .070. How could we have not gotten rid of Crisp.

Nice to avoid the sweep today.

Sounds like Jarrod Parker is coming up to start Wednesday.

I guess that Donaldson thing didn't work out for the time being. Anyone know anything about Luke Hughes? Well, other than the fact that he's a cast off from down under.....

Googled around and the only real positive thing I've read about him is that he's "versatile".

Gotta love this one:

There’s a decent chance another team claims him off waivers, but at age 27 and with little success in the majors or at Triple-A the Twins are unlikely to regret losing Hughes.
-Edit: Good to know where we're getting our starting 3d basemen from.

I will be surprised if we get over the Mendoza line overall from 3B this season.

I don't think Donaldson would hit over .200. do it. How sad is it that Kouzmanoff would be an upgrade.

Yay! I'm getting tired of games that I can't stay awake to watch to the end. I'm looking forward to the road trip and some earlier start times.
