Starters

Didn't I read in the preview that most pitchers coming up in the drafts were going to be starters? I feel like the majority are still listed as middle relievers in this version. I know must kids coming up in real life are normally starters.

Yes, I have not fully understood the starter system. The starting lineups for many historical teams are not even close to what they actually were (at least I can change them if I want to go to the trouble) and the pitchers are messed up also. I do not remember if it was 75 or 76 but Randy Jones won 19 or 20 games that year and IOOTP has him as a relief pitcher.
just checked....he won 20 games in 75 and 22 games in 76. was certainly a starter both seasons, not a relief pitcher.

I dont think they said most, just that there would be more available. Of course these still going in the early rounds (and supplemental) so all the relievers are left for round 3+. Thats what I have found anyway. I have still drafted a few good pitchers in my game.

Thanks, thats really nice. No one has called me a genius before. I never considered myself one I just considered myself someone who can read the first post in a topic in order to understand what its about

I've found a few in rounds 3-5. I'm starting to notice that the star ratings for the draft are almost worthless. One draft I had the first pick and took a starter. Next Stras right? False, the next Stras I got in round 4 of that draft. Whew, a great consolation for the bust of a 1st overall pick.
