Help...my pitching staff is getting beat up.

Yes, it is only 6 games into the season, but my starters are at 7.76 and my bullpen is at 6.84, both worst in the AL, we are not helping out in the field ranking 12th in that as well at .649.

Any suggestions, other than the obvious and find pitching, to help control my staff?

Bottom line, 6 games isn't enough to judge anything (I'm guessing you're playing games out; I try to fix things right away too if I'm playing games out and my pitching sucks). But, look at your ballpark factors, and try to give more playing time to better defensive players. Your defense in the middle of the field (not just 2B and SS, but C and CF too) is absolutely crucial.

If you're playing out games and things start to go awry for your pitcher, don't forget that you can do a mound visit to settle him down a bit. I didn't realize "calm down the pitcher" code was part of the mound visit option until I read a post about it a couple weeks ago. I've started using it and it seems to be helping in some crazy pitching situations.
