				Feature Request: Max Salary

After a quite a few sims trying to get my financials juuuuussssttttt right for my pairity league I thought of a setting I would love to see.

I would love to set a MAX salary for a player. So for example the most a player can make per year is $25 million.

That actually might be kind of helpful. I do tinker with finances a lot and could see the value of that.

Everytime I think I have it just right where all the teams are making money and no one is making an outrageous salary because there is to much money in the leauge 1 or 2 players will get a 27-30 million a year contract. It's just 1 or 2 playes so I know I'm close but was thinking boy it would be nice to just be able to say "No one can make over this per year"

Yeah had a guy making 42M a year as well with my initial settings. It just means to much money is floating around your league. A few ways to fix this is reduce Cash Max or get the revenue down or a mixture of the two.

What factors do you use to decide on cash max? I'm looking to create a fictional league with a salary cap but not sure what to do with cash max.

For example I have superstars set to ask for aroudn $22 million on average. I'm fine with them asking for about $25 million but once I start seeing 27-30m per year contracts then I know there is to much money. An easy way to take help fix this is cash max. In my $120m salary cap league my cash max is set at $20million. I started it out at $40 and through my tests trying to get salaries and revenue where I want them I've steadily lowered and lowered it. At the same time I don't want to lower it so much as to where after one bad season for a team they go into the red. So it's a balancing act so that teams are making money and salaries are where i want them.

There is historical precedence for this. This is one of the reasons cited for the Player's league. The truth was it rarely enforced though. Teams would do things like pay a guy to use his picture or pay for something else besides baseball. The NL had a max individual player salary but teams got around it for top players.

Funny to see this considering I have in one of my leagues (that I am co-commish of), a player max salary cap...of 30% of team salary...which is also capped.

You might have to adjust it some but not to much. I had a $100m salary cap league working perfectly in v12. Decided to up it to $120 m for v13 and still working out some kinks.

One of these years I'm going to volunteer for Beta. I just always think they're looking for people with more skills in programming which I don't know anything about.

just looking for testers willing to spend a good amount of time testing and testing . you dont need programing experience. testers with a good working knowledge of the game and the way it works is good . Obviously im not the one that makes the call but that's just my opinion

i wish, regardless of other settings, that the player salaries lines up more closely with the settings you put in the financials for individual player salaries. if your superstar cap is at $25 million, then the only thing the cash limit should effect is how many $25 million players you can have. along with how well your team can coach, evaluate talent, and develop talent. oh, and you can have lower beer prices too

if your 'average salary' for a superstar was 25 million, and the game gave some guy a 35 million contract. that would mean some other superstar got royally screwed and only got 15 million . so yes, its average, but that should mean the range at 25 million should be more in the neighborhood of 20-30. not 10-40.

After a week or so of simming and adjusting all kinds of things such as Cash Max, Average Attendance, Stadium Seating Capacity, Media contracts, etc. I'm finally honing in on the sweet spot FINALLY.

![]() 20 years into a 30 year test sim and still making some adjustments but only a million here and there. From this I've figured it's alot harder to get salaries down than bring them up. Sounds alot like real life lol.

				Rookie Salary Cap?

Is it possible to curb drafted players salary demands?. Maybe implement a rookie salary cap?
