All star game shows no love for the hitters
Just watched the first all star game for my new season. The AI handled the pitchers ok using both starters for 2 IP, and then began using a few closers before mixing in other SP's. The hitters were handled alot differently which made for a lackluster game.
The NL and AL had 16 hitters at their disposal. The AL in particular had 5 firstbasmen on their roster, while the NL showed a good balance with at least 2 players to fill each position if needed. The NL made just 2 changes- a - M. Bourn pinch hit for R. Zimmerman in the 8th b - D. Espinosa substituted for M. Bourn in the 8th The AL just 3 changes- a - D. Ackley substituted for R. Cano in the 8th b - P. Konerko pinch hit for J. Ellsbury in the 8th c - N. Swisher substituted for P. Konerko in the 9th Possible fix for this? Last edited by Tycobbler; 04-11-2012 at 07:16 PM. |
