It seems my game crashes whenever there is an association playoff with bye in the first round, not exactly sure why

I have an error in my fictional game that causes the game to crash when I start a playoff game (crashes when starting RTS and just before 1st pitch when playing game). No idea what is causing it but perhaps it could be down to teams from different leagues playing each other in 1st round? I have uploaded a save file from the day before the first match to the FTP site, it is called joetheref.zip. Hope you guys can fix it

In Real-time Sim mode, a game will pause for a little while when a pitching change is made. That's good, but it happens after the reliever makes his first pitch instead of before.

Two things, and not sure if they're a bug, or just pecularities of the game.
1) When starting a Major League game and choosing to be unemployed, the game does not offer you any jobs (including minor leagues). I simmed about half a season, a week at a time, and never was offered a job or received any mail. I'm expecting this MAY have something to do with the fact that the Major League game is set to start on March 27, leaving the only options to either 1) go to Commissioner mode to choose a job or 2) push the start date back to pre-Spring Training. 2) If you set up a Historical Sim in 1897, it starts with 1 major league of two leagues of four. There were nine teams in 1897 and ten in 1898. The problem is that there's not any way I can figure out how to adjust the number of teams per league (to at least make it to ten). Again, this could be just something I'm not understanding fully, but since I'm in the middle of writing a review I want to make sure that it isn't /my/ mistake (and which is why I haven't finished writing yet, trying to be fair) |

Evolution, Relocation, and Regions
Should relocation be limited by a league's region as initially created teams are? I just had a team in my Georgia league relocate to New York.

Bug: Scout's Recommendation, but can't find him anywhere
My Scout's Recommendation for my next draft pick is Edgardo Olivas from Mexico.
Problem is, when I try to find Edgardo Olivas in the draft list of players, he's not there. ![]() Look at my list, I sorted it alphabetically from last name. I can't find Olivas. I didn't put any filters, all the players available in the draft are suppose to be on that list. So where is he? I wonder what would happen if I click "Draft Player" on the bottom left. Would it pick the player or has the player already been picked since he's not on the list? He didn't get drafted yet, I checked the draft log, so I don't know where he is. I don't want to click it because I don't want to to screw up my draft. EDITED: Nevermind, I saw the sort - I know I put Position: All Pitchers --> changed it to All Players and now I can find him. Seems to work now. Last edited by Mets Man; 04-08-2012 at 08:17 PM. |

Edgardo Olivas is clearly an outfielder while you are searching him under the pitchers. You are filtering by "all pitchers". That's clearly not a bug :-)

problems with photos
I noticed the "auto re-load photo" button doesn't work. I know how to work the photos in the file. I've had pervious versions of the game, but this version, it doesn't work. It makes it harder to update older photos to newer ones.

Ya, I just figured this out. But, I didn't see it earlier because I saw this RF (Will Brown) on that same list (as well as other position players), so I figured the sort was okay. But then, I found out that Will Brown has a fielding rating for Pitching as well.

Two things I've noticed:
1. On my scores and schedule screen, the game times are in the local time, but it always says EST. So my games in California say 1:10 PM EST when the games is 1:10 PM PST. 2. When running real time sims, the final scores in the upper right hand corner appear to be printed twice like with a halo effect. |

In a newly created Fictional Association, with 2 Leagues, when I try and see if the schedule I wanted generated, the schedule evaluation tool from within the league setup is not working. I get a file not found error.

News Story: [team] miss the playoffs yet again
"Kansas City Royals Miss the Playoffs Yet Again"
This was rather humorous given that they had yet to play a game in the 2012 season. I'm not sure if the bug is with the roster set or the news story. 2012 MLB Quickstart, added Nippon, Korean, and Mexican leagues Playing as Commissioner, not working for any team Using Real Time Simulation Mode to sim through the season |

After starting a new season with the Major league rosters, on April 6th the news feed has an article about the Royals not making the playoffs again this year. It talks about management shaking things up for 2013. 2012 had not even started yet but the articles goes on to state the Royals wont make the playoffs yet again.
Also in the news feed for BNN Stats "who is the leader in the Major League in career games started" in then lists all players in the Seattle Oakland Japanese season opener. Ackley, Cespedas, Crisp, Donaldson, Figgins with 2. Career games started should not be starts in 2012, correct? Last edited by diesel230; 04-08-2012 at 11:48 PM. Reason: to update. |

Transaction Logs
When you click on " All Transactions from the League Menu under the Logs heading you only get the Major Transactions.
To change to All Transactions once I'm there I have to use the pull down menu on the right to get them to show. Hope that makes sense.

Have tried updating pictures, force update and eventually resorted to generating new pictures for every player. But the guys in the incorrect uniforms remained untouched. Could this be an indexing problem? The league I am playing is 72 seasons old and was originally created in OOTP 9 or 10 I believe. |

I'm 9 games into a league imported from OOTP 12, and I just noticed this. In the expanded standings, all teams are showing as 0-0 pre-all-star break and their current records are showing up in the post-all-star break. I believe I had this problem in 12 as well. What would happen is that one season, all 162 games would show up as the pre-all-star record, and then the next season, all 162 would show up in the post-all-star record.

What's with so many players having 5-for-5 games? And there's so many brawls and suspensions. Very unrealistic. These bugs have been going on for years and still exist.
