MLB, Cuban & Japenese leagues at once?

Hi, perhaps a dumb question here, but regarding how to setup a baseball "universe"....

Can I create a game that has the real MLB 2012 teams/setup/rosters etc and also run a Japanese & Cuban league at the same time?

What my end game here is I want to play within the MLB, but also have the Cuban league running at the same time so I could browse stats & perhaps have a player here & there "defect" to America.

Is this possible?

It's possible, but you won't have the history available in game. For this to be possible, those leagues would have to be included in the quickstart.

And it's kind of tricky to make sure not too many players trade leagues so often, at least it was last year.

Well I messed around with the create league stuff a bit & was able to add the full MLB+minors, Japan & Cuba, but the MLB players are all fictional.

I tried a few different things, but anytime I try to create a universe with real MLB+minors players along with another league (say a fictional US College league) all the MLB players are fictional. When I go back & do a quickstart then the MLB players are real. Hmmmmm. So the only way to get real MLB players+histories is via a QuickStart game?

Use the quickstart but start in commissioner mode at first. At the manager creation screen, click the box.

In commish mode, you can add new leagues before you start the MLB season.

Go to league setup and then click add league at the bottom and use the wizard to add Cuban, Japanese, whatever other leagues you want.

You can then turn commissioner mode off by editing your manager, if you can't resist the temptation to change ratings/force trades, etc.

Oh awesome mate, thanks for the great step-by-step instructions! I will try it out after I get done with playing through my first game in a test MLB league (planned on only playing a few innings, but I'm up 17-3 on Bosox to start the year!)...

Cheers, Royce
