Online League??? Need Help.
I'm totally new to the idea of playing in an online league. I convinced 4 friends to pick this game up so that we could all play together in an online league.
My question is how do I do that? What's the steps. I don't know much about HTML or basically an kind of computer language. I have no idea how to begin this. If someone is able to walk me down the road I would greatly appreciate it. Info: Our league is most likely to be either begin with this 2012 season or using a historical league if that matters. Thanks |

While this video was made for OOTP 12, nothing, except the interface organization, has changed in OOTP 13. It should help you to get things started with the Online setup. Once you get that organized, you should take a look at the manual for the part about running an online league.
Hope that helps!

I'd recommend that all 4 of you become familiar with the game a bit before joining. Play with it and make sure everyone likes it and is committed to being a "good" GM who has the time and interest to participate on a regular basis.
Also, study the game while playing. Read about strategies and gain a rudimentary understanding of how OOTP functions. Then you may consider joining a new league (or find a league with at least 4 openings). The Commissioners that run leagues might be hesitant to take on 4 "newbies" at the same time so being up to speed a bit might lesson the "risk" of 4 new players at once. Good luck! |
