RTS mode - Is it possible to just watch your team?

All,

I just tried RTS mode and I noticed that it says "Play Game" for my team instead of "Watch Game"

1) Is it possible to just watch my team play?

2) Is it possible to turn off the sound?

2) Ok, I found the option to turn off the sounds but still not sure about 1)

Click play then set the manager options to your managers name instead of yourself

To answer the second point - Enabling / Disabling sound is in the preferences menu (under the game menu option), on the second tab (Misc)

To slightly hijack the original question - is there any way I can get the RTS to go straight into my game when the time arrives ?? I keep missing the start of it, and have to jump in part way through
