will there be a change to negotiating mood?

I had a guy today he wanted $19mil for 8 years, I offered $16mil for 4 years. It was well more than I can afford seeing as I have $32 for extensions and am losing 4 other guys I need to replace. now he wants $23mil, it should not be that big of a jump, he should counter with something less than 19mil, or more years as he gets mad...he should however say fine you do not want to pay me 19 millon how about more?

It just would not work that way, at most they would say I am really mad so i am not budging I want $19mil for 8 years, and if I did not offer he would just say I am going to free agency...I really hope if this is not fixed yet it will be in a patch :/

If I had my guess i bet his greed is either high or his morale is low.

We dealing with MOST players they will start coming down some as you negotiate, until you see them get the strightmouth and you know you have one more chance before you make him mad and the price starts jumping.

Sounds as if this guy has his reasons not to want to be there and has a short fuse before he jumps his price.

IMHO it sounds as if it's working as intended if it's just this one guy.

I guess it could be greed but it was one offer and his mood jumped and I have had this issue before. and he is quite happy and sent an email saying he liked it and really wanted to work out a deal. if he just wanted to be a jerk he should have just let it be and find a new team next year. But since he emailed I thought I might as well try.

edit: I did check and he does have a very high greed...I'll have to keep a watch on that I guess
