Custom team(s) CSV file

Is there a way to create teams and players with ratings/stats and import those into a fictional league? For example, you might take stats for all SEC teams, throw everything into a CSV, then import the teams for your league? I think this may have been possible in past editions, but It's been a long time since I've tried it and I've forgotten.

Any help is appreciated.

Yes, you would need to export the necessary data first. Be very careful you don't get the Player and Team IDs mixed up. Make a backup of your saved game first!!! It's very easy to make mistakes when you edit these files. I'd also recommend you make copies of the original txt files you export before you edit them as well. That way you can just reimport them if things don't go well.

To change the player names in that league, export it's roster. Change the names, ratings and anything else you want and reimport. Make note of the team and player ID#s. You'll need those for the stats part as the stats files don't have player or team names only ID #s If I remember correctly.
Now open the batting, fielding and stats files you exported and make your changes/additions and reimport.
If your copying all the info from one league to another, make sure they have the same # of teams and players on each team. Again, don't change any Player or team ID#s.

Hope this helps

Thank you that helps a lot. But where do the files go once they are exported? I've looked around in the OOTP folder, and I can't find it. I know this sounds stupid, but I appreciate the help.

Sorry should have said that. When you export they go in your saved_games\your saved games name\import_export folder automatically.
some files are .txt and some will be csv. I'm prettys sure the ones you'll need are .txt. You can rename it to csv if you need to, just remember to rename it back to .txt before you reimport it.
