League Reports

when i go to create reports for my league file it keeps crashing at the same point i submitted a ticket with no response any else have this problem?

Mac or PC?
Are you using the Commish Portal or the Online Options section?
When exactly does the crash occur? When generating or archiving or uploading?
How many leagues/levels and teams are there?
Are you trying to include all reports for all levels?
Do you have a checkmark where it says "Copy and upload new and changed images"? or is a blank box?

and it happens at the player reports part i unchecked the player_report part and it works so it has to be something in there.

This is not a good idea. Modern MLB rosters with full minors is too large for OOTP's reports generating and uploading. You should break it up into smaller parts and NEVER include "new and changed images". If and when you need to add or update images, make sure everything else in the reports is UN-checked, otherwise you will run into some real problems.

More than likely you have too many players so try un-checking all of your minor league player reports and only include the major league level. If this is successful, you can do the reverse later to add your minor league player reports.

i did this and same issue it dies at player report 1160 his report idk who that is

You may have a deleted player that wasn't completely deleted. try looking for player 1160 and see what you get. Then try opening his player html page in-game and see if it loads.

How do I look for him using his 1160 number?

Go to Free Agents, click "Show All Players", then sort by player name. Once the list of players shows in alphabetical order, they will also be in numerical order by player_id. Next, click on any player(down the list somewhat) and go into the player editor. You will see the Player ID number at the top left, under "Basic Information". Then at the top right, you'll see a couple of arrows that take you to the previous and next players on the list. Click until you find the one with that ID.

ok ive done that but the numbers do not line up in order the first player is like 30000 it has something to do with the retired players because for instance barry bonds is player id 1263

also i downloaded ootp companion to view the player.dat files to find the 1160 and when it loaded up it says error loading player.dat retired.dat and world.dat and once its up i go sort by number and there is no 1160 any thoughts?

There is no 1160 means that player was indeed deleted at some point and the game crashes when trying to generate the player report. From here, I am really of no help. You should send your league files to Markus with a link to this thread and maybe he can repair your league file for you. Since you have an online league, open a ticket, include a link to download your league file, and copy and paste a link to this thread.

Would it be possible for you to upload the zip file to OOTP Companion? I have tried for 2 days to download it but I keep receiving an error message that the file is invalid.

After I download OOTP Companion, I will try to track down who player 1160 is.
