New OOTP 13 league forming (with a twist) ASAP after release

I AM POSTING THIS IN THIS FORUM since there is no OOTP 13 online league forums.

When OOTP 13 is released we will be starting a MLB template league.
The twist will be you can choose any year between 1990 and 2010. The League start year will be the year of the most recent team year select!
There will be a Full minor league system as well

Example: is someone chooses 1995 Oakland A's and another chooses 2007 Houston Astro's the league will start with 2007/2008 season.

The website and rules are being created.

If you are interested please either post here, PM me or even better shoot me an email: thomaslukemills@gmail.com

Thanks everyone and I hope to hear from you soon!

Teams Already taken:
Seattle Mariners
Atlanta Braves
Boston Red Sox
St. Louis Cardinals
New York Mets
Los Angeles Dodgers
Philadelphia Phillies

How will you account for duplicate players?

For example Cliff Lee could end up on three different teams.

Or do you not start out with that teams actual roster?

A few of us are talking about issues like that as well.
We have high hopes that will only come up with 2 or 3 players! We will be starting with actual rosters. in which case you will may see the same player name but different team.

We are open to suggestions on this issue.

It's an interesting concept.

What happens in year two?

Or do you pick a completely different team the next year?

no the league continues on like normal in year 2.

Lets say the most recent team is 2007.. the league will start in 2007 then move to 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 with all these years the real players from those years will enter the draft... then after 2011 of course the drafts will start having fictional players!

We may change it to the only teams players can select is 1990-1999 so we have roughly 11 years 2000-2011 of real players!

HOWEVER at this time we will do 1990ish - 2011

How will you account for ratings generated from the different run environments? There is almost 1 run per game difference between 2000 and 2012 and more than 1000HR in the season. I'd expect 1998-2002 teams to be the best pick especially if someone else has a late 2000's team.

You should do some simulations ahead of time to check the effect of a non-standard distribution of ratings. You may find some strange results.

I will be doing some simulation testing first but once agian this may be a valid reason to do a league 1990-1999.

I would love any thought and also I will be looking for an Asst. Commish as well as AL and NL presidents!

I am not going to allow my freinds to do those positions! I want non bias but dependable people!

so anyone interested please let me know!

I appreciate everything

Thanks!
