Problems with demo

I've downloaded the demo before purchasing the game as I've only recently started watching baseball and wanted to make sure I could get my head around the game before spending my hard earned cash.

Unfortunately I get the following message when I try to start the game:

Calling game explorer to verify access privleges failed.
Program started with command line parameters: C:\Program Files
(86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 12\ootp12.exe

Unable to open or create the application data folder! Please reinstall Out
of the Park Baseball.

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem and whether the same thing is likely to happen if I purchase the game and try to start that. Many thanks in advance for your help.

Try right clicking on the OOTP icon and then select "run as administrator".

Did you try uninstalling and then doing a re-install?

Also which OS are you running? Win7, Vista, XP, or other?

Also are you letting it install to the default location or custom location?

I've downloaded it twice, both times to the default location. I'm running windows 7. I'll try downloading it again and running as administrator the first time I attempt to run it.
