Anyone else have any comments on this issue? Just want to try to keep in somewhat in the forefront as it's my most critical issue right now in the game.
My friends and I are simming a solo league with each one of us (total of four) simming a team. Three of us had all four of our starters on the DL for over three weeks at the same time. That's got to be viewed as a little excessive, and it happens too often to be seen as a statistical anomaly. I don't want to be seen as majoring on the minors, as I actually have kind of a masochistic enjoyment about trying to recover from situations like these, I just feel it happens too often to be realistic. This was brought up last year and after doing some research based upon last years results and injury logs from MLB.com, I found that the frequency of pitcher injuries was actually pretty accurately.
Trust me I know the frustration of pitcher injuries, I lost every pitcher on my staff to injury at some point in the season last year in the BoS. It just goes to show that as in the real world, you need a deep pitching staff in OOTP. |
