Making a super league.

Hi

My question is this? How do I make a super league? I would love to find out what is the best team of all time.

I would like to pit the 27, 39 and 98 Yankees, 75 Reds, 70 Orioles, 86 Mets, 85 Cards, 55 Dodgers etc all in a tournament. Makes me drool to think of it, and yet I find no way to do this. I'm stuck playing a historical league with one of these teams and of course winning the world series with them. That's great and fine and dandy but since I win most of my games with these super teams what fun is that?

How can this not be possible with such a great game as OOTP?
So how do i do this since I can't find any options when setting up a league of importing team by team?

Thanks

League setup, edit league structure. Once you are on that screen you can import historical teams from whichever year you like.

Hi, thanks for your help.

Ok found it now. Crazy. You have to make a league, and then delete all the players and then edit it. Why you can't do this in your initial league setup is beyond me. I played this game in the OOTP 10 version for 6 months and never even saw this import teams screen...

Well all you have to do is a create a league with 2 teams, then edit the structure to import the teams you want. You can delete the two leagues from that same screen. When you delete the teams you can also delete the players at the same time with one click.

It's probably difficult to program in with initail league setups, so that's why it's not there. Given the ease of doing it through the editer, I never found it to be a big deal. It only take a few extra minutes to do.

Not a problem now thanks to your help! Just don't understand why the option of importing teams is hidden like that. This should be added to the knowledge base.

I'm sure i'm not the first person wanting to make an "All Time" greats league, although what i'm not sure about how it's going to pan out playing it when mixing Modern teams with Classic teams. Obviously if it were to really happen, modern players would outplay the teams of the past since sports technology and modern athletes have risen to levels that would make athletes of the past fairly worthless. Anyways going to be fun to try!

That's a subject that's been debated for many many years and will always be debated with no possible way of proving anything.

Also, I don't see how you consider it hidden, when what you're doing when you import teams is "Editing your League Structure". Makes sense to me to have it under an option titled "Edit League Structure". I mean there are so many options in OOTP it's impossible to have everyone of them available from the main page or other readily viewable areas. Some things just have to be put in seperate areas under menus.

I've done this before and never liked the results. If you have the 1985 cardinals and 1977 Royals in your league you have 2 Darrell Porters. If you have the 1986 Mets and the 1998 Yanks you have 2 Darryl Strawberrys.

I would love to see a mode where you begin a game with the entire draft pool of every player who ever played available to you. Every player is like 22 years old and you go from there.
