simulation lockup

I'm experiencing lockups of my system, requiring a reboot whenever I try to simulate games. It may go through a few days, but seldom makes it more than a week or two in the schedule before freezing. I've got an AMD 1.2 cpu, elsa geforce 2 ultra video card, 256MB DDR ram, Windows ME. Any suggestions?

Are you using v4 of the game? If so, I know that "I" had problems w/ ME having to reboot the machine 6 or 7 times a day to play(your mileage may vary).

How much free HD space do you have?

Yeah, it's OOTP4 and the patch is installed. Are you saying that it won't function correctly in Windows ME?? Thanks for the response.

It runs just fine in Windows ME for me and many many others. It appears that it is just a problem based on individual settings in ME, or other problems that have to do with Windows itself or other system issues such as memory, video drivers, etc. (At least that's the way it seems to me since I and others can run it just fine).
