TBCB 2.5 - thanks

Hi,

I have just purchased TBCB 2.5 after owning and just lightly playing around with 2.0.
all is can say is Wow, I've always been into sports simulations and "what if" scenarios.

I wanted to set up a perfect new universe with current male boxers of all weights and therefore read all that I could on these forums, a huge thank you to Conn Chris for his
"Large universe Rules and Whatnot" thread as this was concise and all the information was on one document.

Whilst I did did not follow his irules completely it was everything and more that a person starting from scratch I needed and anyone would need.
To be honest that's the point and it has been made a few times that a lot of the fun is in the trial and error of developing your own rules.

I'm just at the stage of having five regional champions for each weight. deceide by a knock-out tournament based on the top 8 fighters in each weight and region. (I did not use the "Tournatment" option in the game)
Once I have done that I will probably have the five winners fight a tournament to establish a world champion, not sure if that is the norm elsewhere with others.

I'm sure I will have many more questions and hopefully ideas to share but I just wanted to say a general thank you to all those behind the game and involved in setting up and contributing to the forums.

Good to see someone new about. Welcome to the board. How did you happen to come across the 2.0 version? I'm curious as you were apparently not a board member until just recently.

Hi,

I actually bought the game years ago, I think from Amazon as I have it on CD in a box.

I never played it much probably due to lack of time as my son was growing up, hence why I never joined the forums.
