Miami Marlins

I'm sure someone will do a better version, but here is mine.

A little right click file/save as, a little Paintship, and here we are...

Not sure what all the fuss is about with the new Marlins uniforms. Sure, it isn't the most creative or appealing jersey on the market, but it isn't awful.

It's because they aren't predominantly blue or red, which are the only colors that baseball teams are allowed to have.

There's a good handful of clubs that differ from that stereotype; Oakland, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Colorado, San Francisco...nobody complains about their logos.

Infact, the O's logo is often regarded as one of the best-looking in baseball.

It's a matter of aesthetics. A design concept is either good or it isn't. And in this case, while great for a hotel, night club or shopping mall anywhere in the Caribbean, the Marlins new logo and font type just don't seem to work for a baseball team. At least in accordance to the majority.

I think the Giants and Orioles have done well with orange and black. Colorado with purple (of all colors). My main gripe is that Miami can't seem to settle on any specific color. It's just plain too busy. I'd even go so far as to say that if I were forced to stare at it for 9 innings I might even become physically ill....what? wait a minute...INGENIOUS!!! GO MARLINS!!
