Adjusting database

Question the database guys can help me with

I like to play historical with adjusted stats (ie all players playing as if it were ball in the 2005-2010 range)
There is the neutralized database for player stats- but it still is going to play to the that year ie 1913 or 1944

I can change the modifiers on a season, but that again can take time and of course you never really know if you have the correct modifier

Thus i thought the best way overall is to modify the lehman database. Yes longer short term, but if it works right, then i can play and play with no further refinements

If i can make it work well i would give it padresfan so he can post it

The question is. to modify the lehman database
ie say i am going to modify George Sisler,

Do i just need to open the batting (or pitching stats as required) and then make changes to the numerical values of his stats?
Do i have to change anything else on any of the other sheets?

I am not adding any players, as is, just adjusting stats to modern ball

Thanks

A super more much easier way is to simply change the era_stats.txt file in the database folder so every year has the totals you want from 2005-2010.

If this takes you more than 60 seconds you aren't trying very hard.

OK found the file

question though, say i want thngs to play for example to 2005.
And i want to change those over to 1901
Now in 1905 there were 30 teams they played a 162 game sched
In 1901 was 16 teams playing...140 i think, anyway that is not important

When replacing the era modifiers...
could i just copy and past 2005 into the space where 1901 was (with the year 1901 still there of course
Or will i have to modify the 2005 numbers into the league size\game size of each year, to match the team\game size?

Thanks again
