I always feel so loved on release day.

Am going to be hit and miss at the computer today with some buddies coming over for beers and chili, I would guess closer to a 7p release than this morning - apologies.

Ratings and such are pretty much done, but need to do a version of the file with roster updates. Will update throughout the day.

My girlfriend's gone for the night, so please just get them out by 9/10EST tonight so I can have a hour or 2 to enjoy them before bed and nagging!

If ratings are done, a release without completely updated rosters would suffice to get us through until you had time to finish moving players around!

Didn't have time after all to move players around, so here's a rough copy to play around with - I'll polish some of the bugs off and release the two later this week.

NOTE: Please keep in mind that MLB ratings haven't been redone for about 2/3 of the teams. Thus guys like Brett Lawrie are criminally underrated. I am aware.

Here's whats in this file:

- Updated 2011 statistics & history
- MLB and minor league free agents as of 11/1/11
- Rerated players on teams with ZIPS projections out (about 10/30 teams)
- Updated coaching staffs at MLB level, owners
- Updated service times based on 2011 service time
- Updated contracts, etc.

Still in the very early stages, so take it easy on me.

The only testing I've done is to make sure a ML season runs without a hitch, and it seems to churn out some solid statistics. I'm sure it needs a lot of polishing, but wanted to get this out there so you guys can find any issues!

One strange thing I noticed was some big-name FAs (Pujols, Fielder) not signing until after the season had started. Might be a problem with not enough $$ on teams for FAs, so check it out and let me know if you see similar problems.

I'll start a new thread for the next release which will be a more complete, final version. Things to still update, for those that care about these things:

- Completely updated ML ratings
- International free agents (Darvish, Soler, etc.)
- Updated roster file with offseason moves
- Updated prospect ratings

Hey I was wondering if I could get help installing these rosters on a mac. I'm running snow leopard and I have tried to follow the previous instructions about downloading it and unzipping it on my desktop, however all I can download is a .exe file which I cannot do anything with. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. It would be much appreciated.

For the Mets (just the big stuff, roster placement, underrated players, etc)

AAA Juan Lagares may be severely underrated
AA Darrell Ceciliani should be in Savannah
AA Robbie Shields should be in St. Lucie
AAA Carlos Guzman was released in May
AAA Sean Ratliff might not play baseball again, and if he does, he's got massive power potential, more then what he's got now
A+ Wilmer Flores is a 'shortstop' or 3b, not RF
A+ Chase Greene, ZeErika McQueen should not be here
A+ Richard Lucas is a 3b, not 2b as listed
A+ Matt Harvey throws 94-96, not 92-94, and his curve/slider have been described as plus pitches/plus potential, his change is fringe/average
A+ Jeurys Familia's changeup should have more potential then it does, also his control took a giant leap in 2011 IRL
A+ Zack Wheeler throws 95-97 touching 98-99
A Albert Cordero is a C, not a RF, and he's got a tremendous throwing arm.

First of all, Great work Cubby...I am amazed that you take the time to do this for all of us.

Now, I uploaded the file and I got a .rar file. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with it. I'm computer illiterate when it comes to stuff like that. can anyone give me some guidance on how to put these rosters into the game?

Get a program like WinRAR, and extract the folder to ... wherever. Then, find the folder, "CF MLB 2012 Rosters.lg", and put it into your Documents/OOTP12/saved games folder. My path is: C:\Users\Tejdgo1\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 12\saved_games

I am running into the same problem as well.

Also, I am getting a message "Could not open the historical_import_path 'C:\Documents and Settings\Garrett\My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 12\stats'" every time I load the league.

Anyone else having issues downloading this from Gamefront? Windows 7 blocks the site, so I set all the security to low and protected mode off, but each time I try and download, I still get a "Operation timed out" error.
