New to iOOTP - iPad

Can you simply order the 1956 Baseball Season and play each game, solo or with another player on your iPad?

You can play each game (of any season or fictional league) out or simulate them as you wish. But it is Singleplayer only!

Have fun ...

Will the team schedules continue to advance as the games are played?

I'm not 100% sure if I understand the question correctly. You (and all other teams in your league) will play 162 regular season games which is followed by the playoffs. After the winner is determined the game will process into the next season. In theory you can continue as long as you wish.

I'm trying to play the entire 1956 season, can't I just start playing the 1956 season without a draft? We just want to play the 1956 rosters/teams as they existed. Looks like to start, I must have a draft?

When you create the new game (in your case the 1956 season) on the last game-create screen ("Lets Play Ball") make sure that the "Start with Inaugural Draft" option is not selected (should be default). Then you start the season without a draft.

Let me know if it works.

On the "Main Menu" the first line says: SPECIAL: Inaugural Draft

I don't see how to change this setting?

If I go to the league menu, the top left box also says ! Inaugural Draft !

Just don't see how to start the season?

thanks for some help :>)

When you start the season -- which you might want to do again -- there is a horizontal box that says "start with inaugural draft" or something similar. Be sure that it is not selected -- that there is no baseball in the box to the left of "start with inaugural draft.
