Okay, we've finally made the switch to 11 and unfortunately a few guys had to drop out because they weren't getting the new game. Here's a little background on the teams
Texas Rangers - The Rangers are a team for someone wanting to rebuild a team from nothing. Their only relevant big leaguers are Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Josh Hamilton, and a declining Michael Young; with Salty being the only one who will be younger than 32 by the all-star break. Sadly, their only prospects of note are Chad James and the recently drafted Dee Gordon. Not by the past GM's doing, the Rangers have simply fallen on bad times with draft picks not panning out and players (aside from Hamilton and Young) performing below expectations. Chicago White Sox - The Sox have some bats: Sean McCraw, Diory Hernandez, Sergio Mirando, and Brandon Allen; and a nice rotation: Adam Loewen, Paul Floyd, Edinson Volquez, and Justin Cassel. They also have some nice prospects in Martín Ayala, Larry L. Sutton, Tyler Sample, and Felipe Ybarra. Though, their top young player, Anthony Gose, is out until early 2014 after rupturing his achillies during his recovery from a slight tear. Washington Nationals - The Nats are probably in the best shape of the three with a very good, young core of Steven Clevenger, Stephen Chapman, Anthony Rizzo, Miguel Cabrera, Destin Hood, Carlos Montalvo, Craig Kimbrel, Jose Ortegano, Miguel Núñez, Derek Holland, Brad Bergesen, and Joey Williamson. There isn't much for prospects outside of Jeffrey Wright and Anastasio Becerra

Thanks to all those that have applied. We are now currently full, but we are certainly still accepting apps for the waiting list. I'll try to keep this thread updated like the last one.

BLB is still full and running strong. Just giving a little update as we're about to finish the 2nd month of the season.
Teams like Detroit, Washington, and St. Louis are really surprising; all leading their divisions at this point, after finishing last in their respective divisions a year ago. On the flip side, 2012 90-win teams Atlanta, Milwaukee, and Cincinnati are all last or next to last in their divisions. A-Rod is sitting on HR 699 and is just 31 hits shy of 3000; will he be elected to the BLB Hall of Fame? Speaking of Hall of Fame, Charlie Hustle will be the only player in the class of 2013. In other milestone news; Vlad Guerrero and Albert Pujols are on pace to become the 25th and 26th members of the 500 HR club this year; and Johan Santana is on pace to become the 29th pitcher to reach 2,500 strikeouts. Also, the 2013 draft is being held in the wonderful StatsLab 11 utility.

We are still full and have 2 on the waiting list, but we are always looking for committed GMs to put on the list! Please apply on bigleaguesports.net if you are interested
![]() A-Rod was placed on waivers by the Yankees and picked up by the Tigers where he collected his 3,000th hit and 700th HR, later signing an extension to finish his career in Detroit. Vlad got his 500th HR and then his 3,000th hit on the final day of the regular season! We had our 6th champion in 6 seasons with the Royals topping the Padres. The Royals became just the 2nd team in league history to make a 2nd World Series appearance (KC: 2013&2011, NYA: 2008&2009) and we have had 10 different World Series participants out of a possible 12. Votes aren't quite finalized, but it looks like the awards will end up like this: AL MVP: Cliff Andersen AL Cy Young: Kyle Bloom AL ROY: Mark Roberts AL Fireman: Henry Barrera NL MVP: Ryan Howard (Kentrail Davis is only 5 points behind with 3 ballots not turned in despite Howard being named 1st on more than half) NL Cy Young: Clayton Kershaw NL ROY: Brett Anderson NL Fireman: Jonathan Broxton GMOY: Jacob Busofsky

The 2014 season is in the books and we had our 7th different champion in 7 seasons (and we've had 11 different World Series participants out of a total 12) with the New York Mets toppling the Cleveland Indians. Amazingly, the Mets had finished dead last in the NL in 2013 with the 2nd worst record in the majors. Michael Esposito has made a number of great moves over the past 2 seasons and has the Mets looking like long-term contenders in a very tough division. Fun fact: Esposito was the GM of the Indians before the start of the 2013 season. He and current Cleveland GM, Matt Lee (truthserum) swapped clubs. Guess it was a good move for both teams
![]() We currently have 2 openings for the 2015 season with long-time Angel GM Matt Lewis unfortunately having to leave because of a hectic work schedule and potential move. We hope to have him back after he completes his move back to the States! ![]() The Angels were one of the top teams in the AL for the first few seasons of the league, but an aging roster has relegated them to afterthoughts in the AL playoff race, with 4 consecutive 3rd place finishes in the AL West and their 2nd straight 90 loss season. There are a few bright spots on the ML roster, like starting pitchers Iván Gómez and Alex White; RP Gang Sun; C Sul-shik Yuk; 1B/3B Chris Davis; OF Jorge Ramos; and super-prospect Roberto Morán. They also had the 12th best farm system in 2014, headlined by Randall Delgado and Zack Cox. The payroll drops significantly in 2015 and cash should not be an issue. ![]() The Rangers are coming off their 3rd 100 loss season in the last 4 years and have not had a winning season since 2009, no playoff appearance in the history of the BLB (2008-2014). The major league roster is a little more bleak than LAA, but they do have a few solid players like SP Wilmer Font, C Jesse Young, 1B Joe A. Jones, and CF Drew Stubbs. The strength of the organization is it's farm system. Thanks to a number of high draft picks, the farm system boasts future stars like SP Kyle Drabek, power-hitting C Austin Maddox, SS Manny Machado, 2B Manny Machado, CF Gary Brown, and CF Eury Perez. Without any real stars, the payroll is low and the team is on it's way to a good rebound.

Well, we're nearing the end of the 2015 off-season but we have 4 open teams for the first time I can recall with two original GMs regretfully having to step aside (Jeff in Arizona and Todd in St. Louis, thanks for all you have done for the league guys!). Jeff and Todd's departure drops our original GM count to 14 which is still pretty good as we enter the league's 9th season. The Mets were our first repeat champion despite an 11th different team making it to the World series in our 7 seasons. email, PM, or fill out the appliction if you are interested
![]() The D-Backs had their first winning season since 2010 two years ago but crashed last year losing over 100 games and finishing with the worst record in the league. They have a solid rotation and a good infield, but the bullpen and outfield are lacking right now. Help may be on the way though, as they have 3 very good bullpen prospects, a good starting pitching prospect, and two solid hitting prospects that are nearly ML ready. ![]() The Marlins have shed nearly all salary and are ready to make a move toward being competitive again (they had 93 wins and just missed the playoffs in 2013). The fish have a solid, young outfield and pitching staff with one of the best young infielders in the game, Bobby Borchering. They are in a division that has produced 4 of the league's 7 World Series Champs. ![]() The Cardinals have simply been unable to put together a pitching staff and consistent outfield. St. Louis has just 1 winning season in the past 6 years, but they are in a division that it seems anyone can win (the Cards are the only team in the 6 team division not to win it in the league's 8 seasons). They have two great middle infielders in Ryan Wheeler and Darryl Turner, a top-of-the-line starting pitching prospect (Jameson Taillon), and a good LF prospect (Jonathan Singleton). ![]() The Blue Jays have become one of the top teams in the AL and backed up their first playoff appearance since 1993 with a 2nd straight playoff run in 2015. They possess one of the top pitching staffs in the AL with a recent Cy Young winner, and they have two of the top hitters in the league as well. Playing in the toughest division in the AL currently, they do need to make some moves to continue winning as they have lost two very good hitters and a few role players the past 2 seasons.
